Jammu, December 10: Doon International School (DIS) Jammu, a leading educational institution renowned for its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development, celebrated its 7th Annual Day with great fervor and enthusiasm. The event, themed “The Indomitable,” ‘Never Say Never ‘ showcased the unwavering spirit and resilience of the school’s students and faculty, captivating the hearts of all in attendance with breathtaking performances.

The esteemed Chief Guest for the event was Prof. Raj Nehru(Vice Chancellor Shri Vishwakarma Skill University Haryana) whose presence added immense prestige to the occasion. Joining him was the Special Guest on the occasion, Dr. Naseer Iqbal, Registrar Of the Islamic University of Science and Technology Awantipora . The occasion was further graced by the distinguished Guests of Honour, Mr. Kiran Wattal (Former Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation) and Mr. Farooq Ahmed Khan (Deputy Secretary, Government of Jammu & Kashmir).

The Annual Day of DIS Jammu was a resounding success due to the diligent efforts of its committed team members under the phenomenal leadership of the school’s Chairman, Mr. G.N Tantray, Vice Chairman Mr. M.A. Tantray, Principal Dr. Vikesh Kaur, Vice Principal Dr. Sarita Moza Koul, Director Mr. Leesan Ul Nabi, and HM Ms. Shivali Singh Pathania. Their vision and dedication were instrumental in orchestrating a memorable event that will be cherished for years to come.

The evening commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the honorable dignitaries, symbolizing the enlightenment and wisdom that DIS Jammu imparts to its students. Dr. Vikesh Kaur, Principal of DIS Jammu, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests and presented the annual report, highlighting the remarkable achievements of the students and the institution.

Chairman of the School, Mr. G.N. Tantray, Principal Dr. Vikesh Kaur, and Vice Chairman Mr. M.A. Tantray expressed their appreciation for the exceptional efforts of the entire staff and the breathtaking performances of the students, making the celebration a memorable one. The vote of thanks was eloquently proposed by the Vice Principal, Mrs. Sarita Moza Koul, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event.

The program culminated with a bombastic Bhangra performance depicting the indomitable spirit and invincible strength equipped with ‘Never Say Never Attitude’ followed by the melodious presentation of the school’s song and soul of our nation, the national anthem, leaving the audience with a sense of pride and unity. The entire event was skillfully coordinated by the Headmistress, Ms. Shivali Singh Pathania and Chief Coordinators, Ms. Jasleen Kaur and Mr. Surinder Singh, ensuring a seamless and remarkable experience for all in attendance.

The 7th Annual Day of Doon International School Jammu was a testament to the school’s unwavering commitment to nurturing talent, fostering a spirit of resilience, and celebrating the indomitable human spirit. It was a reflection of the school’s ethos of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity, setting a benchmark for educational institutions across the region.
