Donald Trump declares victory as he nears 270 margin

West Palm Beach, Florida, Nov 6 Republican Donald Trump declared victory in the US presidential elections on Wednesday, declaring “This is a magnificent victory for the American people, that will allow us to make America great again!”
Though the election result is to be officially announced, Trump took to the stage at his campaign’s watch party in West Palm Beach, Florida, amid huge cheers from his party supporters.
At the latest tally, Trump has won 266 seats, with four yet to be declared to reach the magic figure of required electoral college votes of 270.
“We’re going to help our country heal,” Trump said, adding that he would fix the borders, which has been his a key part of his poll campaign all along.
Trump appeared on stage along with his wife Melania Trump, running mate JD Vance, and campaign staff.
Trump described it as a “political victory” and thanked the crowd for electing him as their 47th president, as well as their 45th, as the crowd chanted “USA, USA, USA”.
Trump mentioned the assassination attempt on him in July, when he survived after a bullet grazed his ear at a campaign rally.
He told the crowd his life was “saved for a reason”.
Trump said he’ll bring “every ounce of spirit and fight” to the White House, and that being president is the “most important job in the world”. He added that he’ll run his government on the motto: “Promises made, promises kept.”
