SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 15: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting to review the status of construction of the Red Cross Bhawan at Srinagar.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Chief Engineer R&B, General Manager JKPCC, besides officials of Indian Red Cross Society attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Divisional Commissioner was informed that the submitted estimates regarding the Bhawan have been sent to the Development Commissioner PWD. The Divisional Commissioner directed for expediting the process of work, maintaining that the project is important and must be completed soon.
Earlier, the Divisional Commissioner also had a meeting with the officers of J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency regarding the Jahangir Chowk-Natipora Flyover. He directed them to restart the work on the flyover saying its completion would prove pivotal for ending traffic snarls in the city.
