Div Com for adequate facilities for Hajj pilgrims 2014

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 16: To finalize the arrangements for Hajj pilgrimage 2014 schedule to commence from August 27, 2014, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Mr. Rohit Kansal convened a divisional level officers meeting here today.

Among others, Inspector General of Police Kashmir, Inspector General of Police Traffic, Deputy Commissioners of Srinagar & Budgam districts, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Executive Officer State Hajj Committee, Director Airport Authority Srinagar, Director Health Services Kashmir, Chief Engineers of PDD & PHE Kashmir, Joint Director Information Kashmir and other officers attended the meeting.
It was given out in the meeting that first batch of 275 intending Hajj pilgrims shall board the direct flight from Srinagar International Airport on August 27, 2014 for Medina Munawara and the regular flights shall continue upto September 12, 2014.
The meeting was informed that a special programme regarding the Manasik Hajj for the intending Hajj pilgrims shall be conducted on August 17 & 18, 2014 at Indoor Stadium, Srinagar. The Hajj pilgrims have been asked to attend the camp on scheduled dates.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir enjoined upon the concerned officers to ensure adequate facilities for Hajj pilgrims. He directed for putting in arrangements for smooth plying of traffic and better transport facilities for the pilgrims.
The Srinagar Municipal Corporation authority were asked to maintain better sanitation and cleanliness in and around the Hajj House, besides the Chief Engineers of PDD & PHE authorities were directed to ensure uninterrupted supply of power and water respectively at Hajj House, Srinagar.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir directed the Health department to set up a medical camp for providing medicare facilities besides deploying doctors and ensuring availability of ambulances for the Hajj pilgrims at Hajj House Srinagar.
