Director Tourism inaugurates Winter Carnival at Patintop

PATNITOP, FEBRUARY 28(KMW):  Director Tourism Jammu, R. K Varma inaugurated the carnival here today to promote adventure tourism in the picturesque winter resort of Patnitop.
The two day Winter Carnival is being organised by the Department of Tourism Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Director Tourism said such programme would go a long way to attract more tourists and winter sports lovers to the picturesque destination of Patnitop.
It was informed that a variety of events would be include in such festivals for the benefit of sportsmen and charm of tourists and spectators. He said that along with Tourism fraternity there is also a special contributions from Patnitop Development Authority and Hotel Association Patnitop who actively participated in the programme.
During the carnival various winter sports activities like fun skiing, sledging & tug of war were organized at Nathatop.
Later, Department of Tourism also gave mementoes to the participants of different sports activities.
Joint Director Tourism, Dr. Nirupa Rai ,Chief Executive Officer, PDA, Dr. Raman Kesar, Deputy Director Tourism, Mrs. Veenakshi Koul, Officers of Tourism and Patnitop Development Authority, were present on the occasion.
