Director Tourism distributes cash awards among the photo competition participants

SRINAGAR: A photo competition was organized by the Tourism department, Kashmir here today at Lal Ded Memorial Cultural Centre, Ganpathyar, Habba Kadal, Srinagar. In which various photographs related to the tourism sector participated in the photo competition. The aim and objective of the said competition is to preserve the cultural heritage of the Valley in which Handicrafts and art of Kashmir has been highlighted for interest of the tourists visiting the Valley.
At least 15 photographers participated in the competition and for their best performance. They were awarded Rs. 75,000/- by the Tourism department.
The Director, Tourism, Kashmir, Mr. Talat Ahmad gave away the prizes and certificates among the photo competition articipants. The photographs were displayed in the Lal Ded Memorial Cultural Centre.
On this occasion, Tour Operator of district Srinagar and the officers of Tourism department were present. (KMW News)
