Kargil, Dec 17: District Industries Centre, Kargil in collaboration with District Panchayat Officer, Kargil and J&K Bank Drass today organized an awareness program on Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Scheme, a central sector scheme of the Government of India at Conference Hall of Dak Bungalow Drass.
During the awareness program, Mudasir Rahowf Wani, Shawkat Ahmad Functional Manager and Mubashir Hussain Advance Manager J&K Bank Drass explained in detail about the registration, skill up-gradation, support of better and modern tool kit, Collateral free credit support, marketing support, etc. to the artisans, and other participants of the Sub Division Drass.
The PM Vishwakarma Scheme was launched on September 17, 2023, by Hon’ble Prime Minister to provide comprehensive support to artisans and craftspeople who rely on traditional skills and tools. The scheme covers artisans and craftspeople engaged in 18 trades
