New Delhi, 23 August : The Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu & Kashmir, Shri S.P. Vaid called on Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh here yesterday and briefed him about the current security situation in the state.
Dr Jitendra Singh lauded the proactive steps taken by Security Forces and the success achieved by them in the recent weeks. He said, the Union Government follows the policy of clarity, consistency and conviction, as a result of which, the Security Forces enjoy the freedom to function as per their professional discretion.
Shri S.P. Vaid gave Dr Jitendra Singh an account of the success achieved in the recent anti-militancy operations, as a result of which, the morale of the forces is at a very high level. He said that the Jammu & Kashmir Police, along with the other wings of Security Forces, is making full use of the modern technology and hi-tech methods to track down the militants.
