Jammu, 10Â Feb (KMW): DG Prisons Dilbag Singh made his first official visit to a central jail after assuming the office on Friday. Singh visited the high security Kot Balwal Jail on Saturday and took stock of the conditions and interacted with the inmates. Sr. Superintendent Jail Javed Masood Fazili and the officers of the CRPF unit deployed there briefed the DG on security arrangements and infrastructure.
According to a press handout of the department, the DGP “sensitized’ the officers present regarding overall security and its augmentation.†Singh was accompanied by Assistant Engineer of the department and the Staff Officer. He gave them on-the-spot instructions on important issues raised by the Sr. Superintendent of Kot balwal Jail and the prisoners.
