DFP Condemns Sajad for Anti-Geelani Remarks

Srinagar: Democratic Freedom Party has condemned the remarks of PC Chairman Sajad Lone against the senior Hurriyat conference Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
It is true that everybody has a right for disagreement but we should keep certain things in mind. “The criticism against Geelani sahib is not only emotional but entirely false,” DFP said.
“We stress that the freedom struggle of the Kashmiri nation is not of any single person but of the whole nation. Incrimination of the recognized leadership is counterproductive to the azadi movement. We should understand that value for leadership and respect for leaders is necessary for a freedom struggle,” DFP said.
“We should always keep Azadi into consideration and high above anything. So the character assassination of a recognized leader goes against the freedom movement,” DFP added.
