Despite tense situation on border, Karwan-e-Aman bus leaves for PaK

Srinagar, Jan 22 (KMW): Despite tense situation on the border due to continued ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops, the weekly Karvan-e-Aman bus, operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, capital of Pakistan Administered Kashmir (PaK) left here on Monday to cross over to other side of the Line of Control (LoC).

The weekly peace bus left Bemina, Srinagar, this morning for Kaman post, the last Indian military post on this side of the LoC, in Uri sector in North Kashmir district of Baramulla, sources said.

The situation on the borders was very tense for the past fortnight because of continued ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops which had claimed the lives of 11 people and injuries to several others in Jammu region.
