New Delhi, Mar 19 Delhi Police reached at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s residence on Sunday morning to seek detailed information about the allegations of ‘sexual harassment’ on the speech which he made during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Delhi Police served a notice to Gandhi over his speech and asked him to share details about the victims who approached him regarding ‘sexual assaults’ during his Bharat Jodo Yatra, a senior police official replied to the queries of the media persons outside Gandhi’s house.
A senior police official told the media that Gandhi gave a speech in Srinagar wherein he claimed that during Bharat Jodo Yatra he met several women who told him about their ‘sexual harassment’.
The police reached Gandhi’s residence to talk to him and get information about the victims so that justice can be provided to them as early as possible, a senior official told the media persons.
Reacting to this issue, Congress posted a tweet on its official twitter handle: “Bharat Jodo Yatra and Rahul Gandhi gave a safe space to millions of women to walk freely, voice their concerns & share their pain. Delhi Police’s cheap theatrics prove how rattled Mr Modi is with our questions on Adani. This harassment deepens our conviction to seek answers.”
