Srinagar: Chief Patron Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA) Muhammad Azam Inqilabi Sunday termed Indian Air Force Chief’s warning to Pakistan as “mere frustration”.

In a statement here, Inqilabi said “Indian strategists and establishment’s annoyance has historical background.”
He said Indian National Congress tried a lot to block the way for creation of Pakistan. “But their macavellian tactics couldn’t stop Pakistan emerging as independent nation.”
“In 1947 India intervened militarily in Kashmir to annex it. Brave warriors of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan blocked Indian efforts,” he added.
MeA patron said India with the help of western powers created Bangladesh in 1971, which was known as East Pakistan. “But Pakistan still continued its support to Kashmir freedom fighters. General Zia-ul-Haq became symbol of this support.”
“After the 9/11 episode India initiated military build-up by massing troops on border. They couldn’t do anything despite a 10-month standoff,” he said in the statement.
Inqilabi said Indian leadership used Afghanistan as a “launching-pad” against Pakistan, “but still it advocated Kashmir’s right to self-determination.”
He claimed Indian strategists feel threatened by US led NATO withdrawal from Afghanistan by 2014. “They know India will be focus of diehard warriors present in the region. They get irked as why LoC in Kashmir is getting decontrolled continuously.”
“We objectively appeal to the Indian government to have a relook to their intransigent approach towards Kashmir. Indian leaders are themselves to be blamed for LoC flare-up,” he said.
MeA patron said it was India who took Kashmir issue to United Nations.
“In 1947 the then Indian Prime Minister Pt. Nehru promised self-determination to Kashmiris. But India reneged on its promise as they wanted to further their expansionist designs,” he said.
He said India by resorting to “integral-part mantra and monomania” in Kashmir is provoking freedom warriors on both sides of LoC. “If situation on LoC is in some control till now it is only because of alert Pakistan army,” the press statement reads.
He said India needs to shun its “rigid approach” so as to create conducive atmosphere for peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue.
“Then Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Syed Ali Geelani, Sardar Adbul Qayoom Khan, Justice Majeed Malik and other Kashmiri pacifists will be ready for tripartite talks to discuss Kashmir in an objective manner,” said Inqilabi.
