DDC flags off Haj pilgrims from Poonch

POONCH :The second batch of 109 Haj Pilgrims comprising 81 male and 28 female were send off to Mecca via Jammu by District Development Commissioner, Poonch, Mr Ajeet Kumar Sahu here today.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mr Mohammad Matloob Khan was also present on the occasion.
These Haj pilgrims will leave for Srinagar from Jammu tomorrow by SRTC buses for onward air lifting to Mecca next day.
Earlier, as many as 39 Haj pilgrim of first batch were send off on October 16, 2011. Besides, the last batch comprising 23 Haj pilgrims is scheduled to leave Poonch on October 25, 2011.
The district administration and State Haj Committee have made elaborate arrangements for their boarding and lodging at Jammu, Srinagar and in Sandi Aralia.
