Kupwara, Feb 28: (KMW): Shutdown, restrictions and clashes affected life in frontier district of Kupwara and Lolab Valley on Thursday for the consecutive third day against the killing of seven ‘militants’ in Dardpora forest.
All shops were closed and traffic movement was badly affected were Normal life was disrupted in kupwara due to the strike.Schools,shops banks,business establishments and fuel stations were closed due to the strike.The roads in kupwara wore a deserted look as public and private transport remained off the roads .curfew like situation was seen in this district .
Heavy forces,Police and CRPF men’s were deployed at several places in town kupwara
Stone Pelting were witnessed In Kupwara between forces and stone peltters at several places in Hyhuma Road ,Bohipora Road, Ganie Mohalla,Bye pass Road, cement bridge regipora and in iqbal market kupwara .
A large number of people gathered in the main market and raised anti-India and pro freedom slogans. In the meantime The CRPF And Police Forces personnels first retaliated by tear smoke shells and later by counter stone pelting and four persons were arrested when they are protesting .
