Day 3: Curfew-like restrictions continue in south Kashmir Pulwama

Srinagar, Feb 22 (KMW): Curfew-like restrictions continued for the third day today in south Kashmir town of Pulwama to prevent any violence following the death of Tawseef Ahmad Dar a local militant in an encounter with security forces in central Kashmir district of Badgam on February 19.

A police spokesman however, said restrictions under Section 144 CrPC, imposed in the town have been lifted. However, adequate security force personnel remained deployed to prevent any law and order problem.

However, the situation on the ground was totally different as people alleged that curfew-like restrictions continued in the town.
