Birmingham, Aug 4 Indian women lightweight pugilist Jaismine Lamboria confirmed the fifth medal for India at Commonwealth Games 2022 after she sealed the spot in the semifinal with a win over Troy Garton of New Zeland on Thursday.
Jasmine beat Garton, who is a 2018 editions bronze medallist, in the quarterfinal by 4:1 split decision in the 60kg lightweight .
The 20-year-old will face Gemma Paige Richardson of England in her semifinal bout on Saturday.
Earlier, Amit Panghal, Nikhat Zareen, Nitu Ghanghas and Mohammad Hassamuddin assured a medal for India after reaching the semifinal of their respective weight categories.
