Curfew-like restrictions in south Kashmir Pulwama

Srinagar, Feb 20 (KMW): Curfew-like restrictions were today imposed in south Kashmir town of Pulwama to prevent any violence following the death of a local militant in an encounter with security forces in central Kashmir district of Badgam.

A police spokesperson said restrictions under Section 144 CrPC have been imposed in the Pulwama town to maintain law and order.

However, the situation on the ground was totally different as people alleged that repeated announcements were made this morning that curfew has been imposed in the town.
