Curfew lifted in violence-hit Kishtwar, J&K Min leads peace march

Kishtwar : The day time curfew in the violence-hit Kishtwar town was today lifted after Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services and Sports Taj Mohi-ud-Din convened a joint meeting of members of both the communities followed by a peace march.

”The peace meeting chaired by Mr Mohi-ud-Din was held in a very cordial manner with both sides stressing for restoring peace and harmony in the district,” an official here said.

He said that all issues raised by the leaders of two communities pertaining to compensation and check on anti-social elements, were resolved amicably after which the curfew was lifted from the entire district.
