Curfew in 6 police station Srinagar areas on Wednesday, Nov 5

Srinagar, Nov 4 : In view of the prevailing situation in the Valley, authorities have decided to impose curfew in six police station areas in Srinagar city on Wednesday, Nov 5.

An official of District Srinagar administration told KMW that there will be strict restrictions on the movement of people in Khanyar, Nowhatta, Mahraj Gunj, Rainawari, Safakadal and Nowgam police station areas. “The decision to impose restrictions has been taken in view of the prevailing law and order situation in Srinagar,” he said.
Meanwhile, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Rohit Kansal, Director General Police K Rajendra, Inspector General Police Kashmir A G Mir, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Farooq Ahmad Shah and SSP Srinagar, Amir Kumar visited Zadibal area to monitor the arrangements made for Muharram procession.
An official spokesman said that people expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by the district administration on the occasion of Muharram.
