New Delhi: India defeated the Netherlands by an emphatic margin of five wickets in the ICC Cricket World Cup match in New Delhi today.
Chasing a modest victory target of 190, the co-hosts made 191 for five in the 37th over, a short while ago in the Day-Night encounter at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium.
Earlier, electing to bat after winning the toss, the Dutch side were all out for 189 in 46.4 overs.
With seven points from four games, India have now ensured their place in the quarter-finals of the mega event.
In tomorrow’s World Cup match, co-hosts Sri Lanka will meet Zimbabwe at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.
All India Radio will broadcast live commentary on the Day-Night fixture. The commentary can be heard on Rajdhani Channel and FM Gold from 2 P.M. onwards.
