JAMMU, March 22: The Government on Monday informed that 132 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 28from Jammu division and 104from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 128679.
Moreover, 86 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 17 from Jammu Division and 69 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 128679 positive cases, 1981 are Active Positive, 125362 have recovered and 1981 have died; 732 in Jammu division and 1249 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 5773118test results available, 5644439 samples have been tested as negative till 22thMarch, 2021.
Till date 1439982 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 28965 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1336 in isolation and 123644in home surveillance. Besides, 1284056 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 28117 positive cases (including 77 cases reported today) with 694 Active Positive, 26958 recovered (including 41 cases recovered today), 465 deaths; Baramulla has 8501 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today)with 118Active Positive, 8205 recovered (including 09 cases recovered today), 178 deaths; Budgam reported 8046 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today)with 90 active positive cases, 7836 recovered (including 06cases recovered today), 120 deaths; Pulwama has 5933 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today)with 37 Active Positive, 5804 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today)and 92 deaths; Kupwara has 5736 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today), 19 Active Positive, 5620 recoveries, 97 deaths; Anantnag district has 5111 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today)with 15 Active Positive, 5002 recovered (including 05 cases recovered today), 94 deaths; Bandipora has 4736 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today), with14 Active Positive and 4660 recoveries,62 deaths; Ganderbal has 4696 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today)with 14 Active Positive, 4635 recoveries (including 01 cases recovered today)and47deaths; Kulgam has 2762 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today)with 18 Active Positive, 2690 recoveries (including 01 cases recovered today)and 54 deaths while as Shopian has 2638 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today),27 active positive cases, 2571 recoveries(including 02 cases recovered today) and 40 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 25546 positive cases (including 25 cases reported today) with 231 active positive cases, 24936recoveries (including 12 cases recovered today), 379 deaths; Udhampur has 4332 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today), 12active positive cases, 4263 recoveriesand57 deaths; Rajouri has 3884 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with 06 active positive, 3823 recoveries (including 01 cases recovered today)and 55 deaths; Doda has 3449 positive caseswith09 Active positive, 3376 recovered and 64 deaths; Kathua has 3276 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today), 05 active positive cases, 3218 recovered and 53 deaths; Kishtwar has 2739 positive cases with 00 Active Positive, 2717 recoveriesand22 deaths; Samba has 2846 positive cases with 05 active positive cases, 2800 recoveries and 41 deaths; Poonch has 2535positive caseswith12active positive, 2499recoveries(including 03 cases recovered today) and 24 deaths; Ramban has 2138 positive caseswith02 active positive cases, 2115 recoveries and 21 deaths while Reasi has 1658 positive with 08 active positive cases, 1634 recoveries and 16 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 128679 positive cases in J&K, 12888 have been reported as travelers while 115791 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 1091 COVID dedicated beds, 962 Isolation beds with 944 vacant beds and 129 ICU beds where 118 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 1570 COVID dedicated beds, 1484 Isolation beds where 1415 beds are vacant and 86 ICU beds where 78are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 2661 COVID dedicated beds, 2446 Isolation beds with 2359 beds vacant and 215 ICU beds with 196vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
