COVID-19: JK reports 512 new positive cases, 89254 recovered so far

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 04: The Government on Tuesday informed that 512 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 186 from Jammu division and 326 from Kashmir division, have been reported today thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 96700. Also 09 COVID-19 deaths have been reported; 07 from Jammu division and 02 from Kashmir Division.

Moreover, 536 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 185 from Jammu Division and 351 from Kashmir Division.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 96188 positive cases, 5968  are Active Positive, 89254 have recovered and 1511 have died; 510 in Jammu division and 1001 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 2391065 test results available, 2294365 samples have been   tested as negative till November 04, 2020.

Till date 662751 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 16249 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 5935 in isolation and 43999 in home surveillance. Besides, 595057 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 19838 positive cases (including 135 cases reported today) with 1377 Active Positive, 18094 recovered (including 114 cases recovered today), 367 deaths; Baramulla has 6295 positive cases (including 67 cases reported today) with 1357 Active Positive, 4791 recovered (including 97 cases recovered today), 147 deaths; Pulwama reported 4724 positive cases (including 10 case reported today) with 187 active positive cases, 4454 recovered (including 33 cases recovered today), 83 deaths; Kulgam has 2499 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 82 Active Positive, 2369 recoveries (including 01 cases recovered today), 48 deaths; Shopian has 2230 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 95 Active Positive, 2100 recovered (including 05 cases recovered today) and 35 deaths; Anantnag district has 4268 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 173 Active Positive, 4021 recovered (including 18 cases recovered today), 74 deaths;  Budgam has 6105 positive cases (including 35 cases reported today) with 248 Active Positive and 5763 recovered (including 31 cases recovered today), 94 deaths; Kupwara has 4550 positive cases (including 32 cases reported today) with 414 Active Positive, 4063 recovered (including 22 cases recovered today), 73 deaths; Bandipora has 4093 positive cases (including 18 cases reported today) with 177 Active Positive, 3870 recovered (including 22 cases recovered today), 46 deaths and  Ganderbal has 3623 positive cases (including 16 cases reported today) with 210 active positive cases, 3379 recoveries (including 08 cases recovered today) and 34 deaths.

Similarly, Jammu has 17988 positive cases (including 98 cases reported today) with 675 active positive cases, 17049 recoveries (including 102 cases recovered today), 264 deaths; Rajouri has 3223 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today) with 68 active positive cases, 3107 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today), 48 deaths; Ramban has 1627 positive cases (including 16 cases reported today) with 59 active positive, 1522 recoveries (including 30 recoveries today) and 16 deaths; Kathua has 2479 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 53 Active positive, 2394 recovered (including 15 cases recovered today), 32 deaths; Udhampur has 2755 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 135 active positive cases, 2588 recovered and 32 deaths; Samba has 2193 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 234 Active Positive, 1934 recoveries and 25 deaths; Doda has 2680 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 78 active positive cases, 2554 recoveries (including 12 cases recovered today), 48 deaths; Poonch has 2270 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 127 active positive, 2121 recoveries (including 22 cases reported today), 22 deaths; Reasi has 1293 positive cases with 87 active positive, 1198 recoveries and 08 deaths while Kishtwar has 1967 positive cases (including 18 cases reported today) with 99 active positive cases and 1853 recoveries (including 01 cases recovered today) and 15 deaths.

According to the bulletin, of the total 96700 positive cases in J&K 9877 have been reported as travellers while 86823 as others.

The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.

The bulletin added that there are 1306 COVID dedicated beds, 1170 Isolation beds with 1100 vacant beds and 136 ICU beds where 93 beds are
