Cop shot dead by gunmen in Bijbehara 

Anantnag , July 19 :Unknown Gun men fired upon a constable identified as Farooq Ahmad Reshi resident of Khiram, Anantnag at Baba Mohalla , Bijbehara a short while ago.

Farooq was posted as PSO with Mufti Sajjad Hussain PDP leader and cousin of Mehbooba Mufti.

Sources told Sachnews Jammu Kashmir that Mufti Sajjad was offering Friday prayers along with his father Mufti Mohammad Amin in the local mosque and his PSO was outside the mosque.

The gunmen fired upon him from a close range.
He died on the spot.

The gunmen decamped with the service rifle of the cop.
