Sirisilla, Oct 17 Attacking the Congress party and its leadership, BRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) on Tuesday said that the Congress leaders would be a major threat to the farmer community in the state as they talked about providing only a three-hour power supply to the farmers and removing the Dharani portal.
Delivering a powerful speech at a public meeting here, KCR expressed confidence that BRS will again form the government and continue to work for the welfare of the weavers community.
He said that Sircilla will become another Sholapur in the coming days.
He appreciated Siicilla MLA and Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) for his dedication towards the welfare of handloom weavers and pledged continued support to the weavers community upon getting re-elected to power.
KCR said that the Dharani portal made the lives of the farmers easy by protecting their lands, while Congress would remove Dharani and bring back the VRO system.
He said that the lands in Telangana were being sold in lakhs after Telangana Formation.
The Congress party governed the country for 60 years but failed to give uninterrupted power, the CM also said that the industries faced problems in operating due to the power crisis and the farmers were dying of snake bites in the fields at night as the current would be supplied in irregular hours.
The BRS President also stated that Prime Minister Modi’s state Gujarat does not give 24-hour power supply while Telangana does.
He said that the PM proposed to fix meters to agriculture motors which was rejected by the BRS.
He recalled the miserable condition of weavers in Sircilla before Telangana state formation and from such a situation till now, Sircilla has strongly evolved under the BRS government, he said.
He said that the BRS Government is committed to making Sircilla an educational hub in the coming days.
Highlighting the promises from the manifesto, KCR said that the BRS would increase the pension amount from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 5000 and similarly, Rythu Bandhu’s money will also be increased, he added.
