Commander Vijayak, others review snow clearance operations on Zojila Axis

Kargil, March 18: Commander Vijayak, accompanied by OC 55 RCC Mulbekh, SDM Drass, and SHO Drass, visited the Zojila Axis to inspect snow clearance operations along the Zojila stretch. During the visit, officials conducted an on-ground assessment of the progress and challenges faced by BRO personnel and machinery.

The civil administration submitted that the number of snow clearance machines be increased so that the National Highway shall open early.

In response, Commander Vijayak directed local officials to deploy more machinery to accelerate the process. As of now, the road has been cleared up to Shaitani Nallah. He also instructed that road widening should be carried out alongside the clearance efforts.
