Srinagar: Omar Abdullah, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister today asked separatists to follow the “courage” of former Hurriyat Chairman Maulana Abbas Ansari and come forward to hold talks as there was no other alternative to dialogue in finding a viable solution to Kashmir issue.
“Like Ansari, others separatists should also come forward and hold talks for resolution of Kashmir problem,” Omar told media persons on the sidelines of a function at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Training Academy at Udhampur.
Omar viewed, “When everyone is saying that gun is no solution to the problem. then talks are the only solution left to the issue and Separatists should not waste time for holding talks,” “If Separatists are not ready for talks, then how can we find out solution to the issue,” he asked Chief Minister did not however comment on the suspension of Ansari “I have nothing to say on the issue of suspension. This is their internal matter.” He quipped. Centre’s interlocutors on Kashmir held a meeting with former Hurriyat Chairman Maulana Abbas Ansari. Following the meeting, the moderate faction of Hurriyat conference suspended Ansari from the amalgam.
