CM releases Higher Education departmental magazine

SRINAGAR: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah in presence of Minister for Higher Education, Abdul Gani Malik, Minister for Health, Sham Lal Sharma and Political Advisor to the Chief Minister, Devender Singh Rana today released the first issue of Jammu and Kashmir College Education Magzine “Quarterly Quantum” at a function here.
The Commissioner Secretary Higher Education, Tanveer Jahan and senior officers of Higher Education Department were present on the occasion.
Minister for Higher Education, Abdul Gani Malik said that the magazine would benefit students, faculty and the general public to a large extent. He said it would also provide feedback through articles, success stories and field information by the writers.
Commissioner Secretary Higher Education, Tanveer Jahan highlighted the significance of the magazine of this kind in the State to provide regular flow of information and education to general people particularly concerned with educational sector. She said that this would also keep the people abreasted with the latest happinings in the higher educational field as also help in providing details about various schemes under implementation in Higher Education sector.
The Chief Minister expressed good wishes for the success of the magazine for achieiving the aims and objectives of its launch.
