Leh, April 30: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Jammu Bench, conducted a circuit sitting at the Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) Centre, Melongthang, Leh, aimed at facilitating accessible and efficient justice delivery for the residents of the Union Territory of Ladakh.

The session was graced by the presence of esteemed members of the judiciary and the legal fraternity.

Hon’ble Member (Judicial/HoD), Shri Sanjeev Gupta, and Hon’ble Member (Administrative), Mrs. Pragya Sahay Saksena, were warmly welcomed by Shri Shashi Kant Bhagat, Secretary, Department of Law and Justice, UT Ladakh, along with other senior officials from the legal and administrative departments. The Secretary Law expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble CAT Members for the successful conduct of its sitting in Leh, which reinforced the faith of the local populace in the judicial system.

The circuit bench heared 17 cases during its sitting at the ADR Centre. The Hon’ble Members conducted the proceedings with utmost diligence and patience, ensuring that matters were addressed with fairness and efficiency.

Law Officers and officials from various departments were present to provide necessary support to the Sr. Central Government Counsel, reflecting the administration’s commitment to ensuring prompt and effective resolution of service-related grievances in the region.
