Child food products worth Rs. 35,000/- seized

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 14: Assistant Commissioner Food Safety alongwith team of Food Safety Officers inspected the premises of M/S Northern Food Industry at Rathpora Noor Bagh Srinagar and found it in total insanitary conditions besides a huge quantity of labels of fake addresses of New Delhi and Gaziabad were found in the said premises.
200 Kg infant food products worth Rs. 35,000/- which were being manufactured under such insanitary conditions and such fake labels were seized. Samples of such food items were lifted for analysis. The seized food articles and fake labels were kept in the safe custody of the food business operator as provided under FSSA 2006.
Moreover the manufacture of such food items has been prohibited under the provision of FSSA 2006 from further manufacturing. In the meantime the concerned SHO has been asked to ensure implementation of such prohibition order.
