Islamabad, Pakistan: The renowned socio-political personality of Islamabad, Pakistan (Chowdary Ilyas) in a latest development has along with his circle of influence abandoned PPP (Pakistan People’s Party) and joined MQM (Mutahhida Qaumi Movement) adding to the list of leaders gathering under MQM banner.
“I got moved seeing the pro-people, pro-poor approach and the truthfulness of activities of the senior MQM leader ‘Altaf Hussain’ and this indeed acted as a trigger for me to leave PPP and join MQM” said Chowdhary Ilyas at a press briefing at his residence in Meherban Town Islamabad. The briefing was also attended by many political activists including member of the National Assembly Abdul Qadir Khanzirah
During the briefing Mr. Chaudhary stated that bearing the brunt of oppression and tyranny was tantamount as doing the same and it was this thought in-fact which has been actualized by Mr. Altaf Hussain, who has always been an empathizer and well wisher of the poor and agonized lot. He has in fact oriented his activities to philanthropy in the garb of politics and such things have indeed motivated me to join MQM. Chaudhary sfurther added that Altaf Hussain has never gone after power or status nor has his nearest of the kins ever practiced the same.
Mr. Chaudhary in the conclusion said that he has always yearned to do something for the down-trodden lot but has not been able to realize that due to the earlier political restrictions and now he was excited and hopeful that he could now do the same by being a member of MQM that makes it a guideline to follow the same path of help, sincerity devotion and wellbeing of people especially the downtrodden and the agonized.
