Kargil, August 8: A.S. Sahney, Chairman of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), accompanied by the Chief General Manager, visited Kargil and held a formal interaction with the officials and staff members at IOCL Depot Kargil.
Upon arrival at the depot, Sahney was warmly received by the Depot Manager, IOCL Kargil, along with officials and staff. During the visit, he also interacted with members of Team Stringmo and students of PM Shri Government Model High School, Lankoor. He was accorded a traditional welcome by Team Stringmo and the students, followed by a Guard of Honour presented by the IOCL Guards.
The Chairman was briefed on the rich and diverse culture of Kargil, the historic significance of the 1999 Kargil War, and the notable achievements of IOCL Depot Kargil in serving the region.
Mr. Sahney appreciated the efforts of the depot staff, the enthusiasm of the students, and the contribution of Team Stringmo in the field of education Art and women Empowerment, expressing his commitment towards continued engagement and development initiatives in the region.
As a gesture of goodwill, Team Stringmo presented Mr Sahney with a specially crafted painting as a token of love and appreciation.
