Srinagar, Jan 20 : A high level delegation of ‘Friends of South Asia’ led by its chairman Saleem Reshi Wednesday called on Union Minister for Minority Affairs Government of India Dr. Najma A. Heptulla at a local Hotel in Srinagar.
The delegation on the occasion besides discussing several developmental issues, apprised Minister about the suffering on common people in Kashmir.
The delegation also proposed strategies to counter unemployment, the idea of friendship and fraternity among the people, tree plantation, restoring glory of Dal Lake, launching of training programme for self employment educated unemployed youth and to work for adult education
The minister assured the delegation that the Centre is willing to cooperate with the people of state and contribute to overall interest of people and development.
Besides others, Reshi was accompanied by Rameez Masood, Muhammad Amin Bhat, Shahnawaz.
