CEC Kargil meets delegation of Tickat, Lastak Seilshpore villages of Barsoo block

Kargil, Dec 16, 2024: Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today met with the delegation of Tickat, Lastak Seilshpore villages of Barsoo block and discussed issues of telecommunication and other issues of the area.

While addressing the delegation, the CEC Kargil assured them that he is fully aware of the area’s longstanding and significant pending demand. He informed the delegation that he has consistently raised the issue with the concerned department and discussed it with the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Ladakh. The CEC further emphasized that the matter holds a prominent place on his agenda and remains a top priority.

The CEC Kargil informed that the towers at Singrong and Labas are currently functional. The CEC also said that the already installed mobile tower of Lastak and Thila had some technical fault of battery which has been replaced with the electricity connection and will be functional soon.

Dr Akhoon also assured that he will talk with concerned officials of JIO and Airtel to find a viable solution for installation of towers in the area.

CEC Kargil said that he will direct the AD FCS&CA to arrange a KYC camp in the area so that the reaming KYCs can be done at the earliest. He also said that he will direct the concern officer of PHE regarding the issue of water.

The CEC stated that funds for the purchase of an ambulance would be arranged through CSR initiatives. He also assured that the development of hospital infrastructure would be prioritised and completed at the earliest opportunity.
