Kargil, July 23: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, met with a delegation of Old Taxi Stand vendors at his office chamber today.

The delegation brought to the CEC’s attention the hindrances created by ongoing floor tiling works, which they stated would significantly hamper their business during the peak season.

The vendors requested that the tiling work commence from one side of the area, allowing the other side to continue operations as usual to minimize disruption to their business.

CEC Dr. Jaffer Akhoon gave a patient hearing to the grievance and directed the Executive Officer of the Municipal Committee to visit the site personally and address their concerns.
