CEC Dr Jaffer Akhoon reviews arrangements ahead of Arbaeen

Kargil, August 23, 2024: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today chaired a meeting at Council Secretariat to review arrangements ahead of Arbaeen.

Executive Councillor for PHE; Deputy Commissioner, CEO, LAHDC, Kargil; ASP Kargil; SE PHE; CMO Kargil; Exen PHE; AD DIPR Kargil, representatives of Jamiatul Ulama Isna Ashris Kargil and IKMT beside others were present at the meeting.

During the meeting, the CEC directed the DC Kargil to ensure that all the required arrangements are made well in advance and in line with past practices.

Dr Jaffer Akhoon instructed AD DIPR Kargil to arrange Public Address Systems where necessary. He directed CMO Kargil to ensure all essential health services are in place.

Further, the CEC emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness throughout the event and instructed the MC Kargil to engage additional manpower if required.

Addressing the issue of the Moharram package, he informed that the matter has already been discussed with the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, expressing hope for a positive outcome.

The CEC expressed gratitude to all stakeholders and volunteers, acknowledging their crucial role in facilitating the observance of Arbaeen. He emphasized that their support is vital for ensuring smooth arrangements and hoped for a peaceful and orderly Arbaeen.
