CEC Dr. Akhoon flags off students for exposure visit, participation in 25th Rashtra Katha Shivir, Rajkot, Gujarat

Kargil, Dec 24: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today flagged off a group of 25 students from various Higher Secondary Schools of Kargil at Council Secretariat for an exposure visit outside the Union Territory and participation in the 25th Rashtra Katha Shivir in Rajkot, Gujarat.

The exposure tour, organized under the RASHTRA AVISHKAR ABHIYAN by SAMAGRA SHIKSHA of the Education Department, Kargil, includes visits to Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Rajkot, providing students with a unique learning experience. Two escort teachers will accompany the students during the visit.

Executive Councillor for Education, Zakir Hussain, was also present at the event and extended his encouragement to the students.

Speaking on the occasion, CEC Dr. Akhoon congratulated the students and wished them the best for their journey. He encouraged them to represent Ladakh by sharing the rich cultural heritage of Kargil, the region’s tourism potential, and other positive aspects of Ladakh during their interactions outside the Union Territory.

He further emphasized that such initiatives are important for the broad development of students and to gain exposure to new environments, learn from diverse cultures, and to promote a sense of unity and national integration.
