Anantnag, January 10(KMW):Â A day after a gunfight broke between militants and government forces in Larnoo area of South Kashmir’s Kokernag area, government forces have yet again started a Cordon and Search Operation in the same village this afternoon.
Sources said that 19RR of Indian Army, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and 156 Bn of CRPF started the operation following specific tip off about the presence of militants in the area.
Government forces have sealed the entry and exit points to the Larnoo village and a massive search operation is underway,locals said
Pertinently in yesterday’s gunfight one militant was killed while as Ashraf Khan alias Ash Moulvi, the top commander of Hizb had reportedly sustained bullet injuries in the operation, however he had managed to escape.
