Kargil, April 10: In a pioneering initiative to foster awareness and motivation among students and the wider community, Government High School Bodhkharboo organized a comprehensive career and guardianship counseling session for the entire village on April 9, 2025.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Major Sidharth from the 5th Bihar Regiment of the Indian Army, who addressed the gathering with enthusiasm and insight. The session focused on guiding the youth and their guardians about the various opportunities available for joining the Indian Army, both in gazetted and non-gazetted positions.

Major Sidharth elaborated on the eligibility criteria, selection processes, and qualifications required for different posts in the Indian Army. These included officer-level entries through NDA, CDS, and technical routes, as well as roles such as soldiers, clerks, and tradesmen recruited through Army Recruitment Rallies. He also highlighted the importance of physical fitness, discipline, and educational qualifications for aspiring candidates.

The session saw active participation from students, parents, and other members of the village, making it a truly community-centric event. This initiative not only aimed at providing career guidance but also at strengthening the bond between the Armed Forces and the civilian population.
