SRINAGAR, (KMW News): The Cabinet which met here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah today accorded the sanction to enhance of an installment of Dearness Allowance (DA) for State Government Employees /State Pensioners /Family Pensioners from 72% to 80 % from 1st January 2013.
The DA arrears w.e.f January 2013 to April 2013 shall be paid in cash to the State Government Employees in the month of May 2013.
The Cabinet also accorded forest clearance for the use of certain stretches of forest land in various forest divisions for undertaking several development projects including construction Gandala to Jakhar Road, Delhar to Amroh, Sulgar to Ruabagh, Nabna to Chungan, Majva to Resan etc, 400 KV S/C Uri-II to Wagoora Transmission Line, 400 KV D/C Kishanpur New Wanpoh Qazigund Transmission Line, university campuses at Wuyan, Kupwara and Bagla Samba, Parnai Hydro Electric Project, Railway Tunnel T-I of Udhampur-Katra section, Morh Tunnel from Gagangeer to Shitkari on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri National Highway, Naigund canal in Kishtwar etc.
