Srinagar, July 8: Jammu and Kashmir People’s Political Party ( PPP) Chairman and senior leader All Parties Hurriyat Conference (M ) , Engineer Hilal Ahmad War has been put under house arrest since yesterday ahead of third death anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani.
A team from police station Maisuma headed by SHO arrived at Mr. War’s house on Sunday evening and informed hin that he can’t step out of his house.
July 8 is observed as ” Burhan Day” in entire Kashmir Valley , Azaad Kashmir and Global countries as well by Kashmiri diaspora and the supporters of Kashmir cause in memory of Hizb commander Burhan Wani who was martyred in 2016.
Mr. War said that Burhan has become an icon of resistance movement . He was a brave and selfless mujahid who will remain alive in the hearts of the Kashmiris. “Kashmiris love and respect Burhan. He laid down his life for the cause and kept it alive,” said Mr. War.
PPP Spokesman has strongly condemned Mr. War’s detention and called in unfair , unlawfull , undemocratic and unjustifiable.
