JAMMU, FEBRUARY 27: Jammu and Kashmir Police today felicitated Mr. Ashiq Hussain Bukhari at Police Headquarters (PHQ) on his elevation as Deputy Inspector General of Police.
Mr. Bukhari was recently promoted by the government retrospectively with effect from January, 2014 and later posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police Administration (PHQ). He assumed his office on 26th February, 2016.
Mr. Bukhari has worked on different assignments including SDPO Hazratbal, Kothibagh, SP Budgam, Anantnag, AIG Provision (PHQ), Principal STC Talwara, SSP CID CIK, SSP Srinagar and SSP Crime Kashmir.
Earlier, Director General of Police, Mr. K. Rajendra Kumar decorated the officer with higher rank as DIG at a simple function in presence of ADsGP, SP Vaid, Navin Agerwal, SM Sahai, Dilbag Singh and L. Mohanti, IsGHP, AK Choudhary, HK Lohia, Yoginder Koul, MA Khan, Danish Rana and Jagjit Kumar, DIsGP, SA Mujtaba and Pawan Kotwal, JD Prosecution, Gowhar Hussain, AIsGP, Dr. M. Haseeb Mughal, Tahir Sajad Bhat, Kulbir Singh and S. Zulfkar Azad, Sr. ADO, BA Shah, SP Nasir Khan and other police officers.
