Srinagar, July 21: The WAQF Board Jammu and Kashmir, under the leadership of Dr. Darakshan Andrabi, has taken a historic step to address Srinagar’s parking woes with the development of the Botabagh multi-level car parking at Hazratbal.

Located at Lalbazar Side Adda, near Kashmir University, this facility is expected to accommodate a good number of vehicles and significantly reduce congestion in the area.

The WAQF Board is now being asked by the masses to seek proper security arrangements for the parking facility, including fencing, installation of CCTV cameras, and the presence of a chowkidar to ensure safety and security.

Moreover, the masses are urging the Regional Transport Office (RTO) to enforce the use of this multi-level parking by vehicles, rather than allowing them to park haphazardly on roads, which contributes to traffic chaos.
Srinagar has been grappling with a parking crisis, particularly in commercial hubs like Downtown and City Centre, impacting local businesses and causing inconvenience to shoppers. The Botabagh multi-level car parking is a step towards addressing these challenges and improving traffic flow in Srinagar.
