BOMB BLAST CLAIMS 50 LIVES IN AFGHANISTAN

Explosion ripped through a protest demonstration in capital Kabul.

Kabul: In Afghanistan, fifty people were killed and dozens others injured when an explosion ripped through a protest demonstration in the capital, Kabul on Saturday.

Health Ministry spokesman Mohammad Ismail Kawoosi told AFP that the dead and wounded were taken to Istiqlal hospital near the blast scene.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the explosion.
