Jammu, Aug 13: During its Marathon Signature Campaign launched by BJP Sharnarthi cell Pt. Ashok Kumar Khajuria, Additional Press Secretary and Prabhari BJP Sharnarthi Cell Jammu and Kashmir today reiterated that BJP is committed to fight for the rights of the Refugee Community and said that the BJP Sharnarthi Cell will Stage one Day Hunger Strike and Dharna at Satwari Chowk, Jammu on the August 25th (First day of Legislative Assembly Session at Srinagar).
He was addressing a Public meeting at border village Badyal Brahmna on the 13th day of the Signature campaign launched by BJP Sharnarthi cell. “Successive State Governments’ have always denied the rights of the refugee community and played with the sentiments of the downtrodden community. Hence in order to press the ruling state coalition government for a decisive action in favour of the entire refugee community and to pass a resolution in the upcoming session of the legislative assembly to fulfill the demands of the ‘Refugees’ in a time bound manner, the BJP Sharnarthi Cell will stage a one day Hunger strike and Dharna at Satwari Chowk Jammu, on the first day of the legislative Assembly Session at Srinagar ie. on Aug 25th ” he said.
Earlier MLA Suchetgarh Sham Choudhary also joined the signature campaign and pen down the pledge to support BJP in the forthcoming assembly elections. He said that the BJP is committed to fight for the rights of the Refugees since ever but the ruling NC-Congress regime has never paid concern to the miseries of the Refugee community. “When the elections are nearby, they start Juicy campaign to befool the POJK migrants by making forged public announcements but when they come in power they forget the grievances and demands of migrant community, which has caused irreparable loss to the lives of the refugees’,” he said.
Meanwhile, scores of people of the Badyal Brahmna and adjoining villages pledged support to BJP in the forthcoming Assembly Elections. Overpowering response of people was witnessed at the campaign spot as people assured to repeat the Lok Sabha results in the Assembly election too and to fight decisive battle against the discriminatory policies being followed by NC-Congress Coalition regime.
Pt. Khajuria urged the gathering in general and refugee community in particular to come out in full strength and make the August 25thDharna a grand success.
Panches and Sarpanches of the Constituency were present on the occasion besides prominent party functionaries present on the occasion included Sarpanch Vijay Sharma – Convener BJP Sharnarthi Cell for PoJK, Pt. Tirath Ram, Umesh Khajuria, Pushap Sharma, Lalit Sharma, Joginder Sudan, Narinder Kumar and Neeraj Kumar.
