Srinagar, Mar 19 : The Bharatiya Janata Party today announced that it will not field any candidate and support its coalition partner in the government, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the by-poll for Anantnag Parliamentary constituency, scheduled to be held on April 12.
The opposition National Conference (NC) and Congress have also decided to contest a bypoll in Srinagar and Anantnag constituency jointly.
NC President Farooq Abdullah will contest from Srinagar, while G A Mir, PCC chief to fight it out in Anantnag, where the PDP has already announced the candidature of Tasaduq Mufti, son of former chief minister, late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. (News Agency)
