New Delhi, Jan 7: BJP leader Ram Madhav on Wednesday denied that the party had made any headway in talks with the PDP to form a coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Writing on social networking website Twitter, Madhav clarified that no formal dialogue has begun between the two parties.
He was responding to media reports which suggested that progress had been made in talks over government formation between the PDP and the BJP – the number one and two in state Assembly in terms of MLAs.
After a meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir core group with BJP president Amit Shah in New Delhi, Madhav had himself said yesterday that the party was holding talks with the regional party.
“There is some forward movement. Today, we have decided that we will start structured talks with PDP leaders on the basis of the initiative shown by them,’’ Madhav told journalists after the meeting.
