Birthday party goes horribly wrong: 15 dead, 23 injured in Mumbai pub fire

Mumbai, Dec 29 : A birthday celebration went horribly wrong when 15 people, including 11 women, most of them in their twenties and early thirties, were killed in a massive fire in a restaurant at Kamala Mills compound late on Thursday night.

Huge flames leapt up in central Mumbai’s nightlife hub as the blaze immediately spread rapidly to nearby restaurants and offices. Fire fighters took more than three hours to douse the inferno. (News agency)
