JAMMU: J&K Awami National Conference President and veteran politician Begum Khalida Shah arrived in Jammu from Srinagar today to a very warm welcome accorded to her by ANC Jammu Province Office bearers, Workers & a large number of ANC Women’s wing workers. Amidst welcome slogans Begum Shah was taken to her residence in Gandhi Nagar in a large cavalcade of Motor cars & Motor cycles flying the ANC flag.
Begum Khalida Shah will preside over the Central Working Committee session of her party to be held in Jammu on Tuesday 29thNov, 2011. ANC Working Committee members & Special invitees have already arrived from Kashmir Province , Jammu Province & Leh /Kargil.
ANC working committee will likely give its consent for adopting a new flag for the party along with finalizing the details of the Mass Contact Programme & the Membership Drive to be spearheaded by its President. Apart from the very serious Political, Social & Economical issues confronting the state, the ANC Working Committee will also finalize the strategy to be put in place for effective & result oriented use of the J&K RTI ACT for combating the menace of Corruption in the state. The issue of public figures & people holding high offices to come clean before the masses is gathering an overwhelming response from various organizations, unions & Ngo’s to seek details of such income from public representatives as was initiated & declared by the ANC leadership a few days ago publically.
Begum Khalida Shah will be addressing a Press Conference on Wednesday 30th November 2011 at Jammu Press Club at 12.30pm.
