Badal to contest from Lambi, SAD announces 48 candidates

Chandigarh, (KMW News): Punjab Chief Minister and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) patron Parkash Singh Badal will contest from his native Lambi constituency in the coming assembly elections in the state.

Mr Badal’s candidature was announced in the first list of 48 candidates released by the ruling SAD here today.
In Lambi, Mr Badal will be pitted against his younger brother Gurdas Badal, whose candidature has already been announced by the People’s Party of Punjab (PPP), headed by former Finance Minister and Chief Minister’s estranged nephew Manpreet Singh Badal.
